Something funny happening in SA?
The Fringe Festival and beyond...
28 February - 4 March 2023
Adelaide and a festival of international repute? Uh huh and Cregan Creative will be there. And whilst the lights of the big city are exciting, a trip to South Australia is not complete until you visit the terrific winegrowing regions of the Clare and the Barossa Valley which are less than 2 hours from mainstreet Adelaide. The aim of this tour is to introduce you to the wonderful city of Adelaide but also to get amongst the valleys and learn from interesting artisans, indulging in food, wine and more. I believe this to be a perfect trip for those who love this stuff but don't want to do it on their own.
Tuesday 28th February: Travel your own way to Adelaide - be it by car, train or plane. We'll meet at the terrific Walkerville Arms in Walkerville, our accommodation for the night which is a 20 minute drive from Adelaide Airport .
Check in, refresh and then we're off to the bright lights of Adelaide not 10 minutes away.
Dinner and a show whilst enjoying the frenetic colour and movement that is the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Wednesday 1st March: After breakfast I've arranged transport to take us to the wine regions. We'll attend a wonderful lunch and learnings at the Watervale Hotel in the Clare Valley travelling through the country side to finish up at Anlaby Station - the home of the oldest Merino Stud in South Australia and our luxurious accommodation for the next 2 nights.
Thursday 2nd March: Country breakfast and a tour of Anlaby Homestead and garden
What's a visit to Barossa without some wine tasting? At Seppeltsfield we'll be introduced to some beautiful wines and maybe lunch at a vineyard. And certainly we'll poke around the Jam Factory, a wonderful space supporting an eclectic group of local artisans producing amazing things.
Along the way we'll drop off at wineries and other places indulging in some country hospitality culminating in dinner and accommodation at Anlaby once again.
Friday 3rd March: Make our way back towards the city where we'll be accommodated at the Walkerville Arms once again and enjoy some more comedy in town.
Saturday 4th March: Final check of CBD Adelaide, it's not just a city of churches, maybe scooting through the Central Markets for some treats.
We'll be finished by noon and then make our way out to the airport. Or you may decide Adelaide has more for you.....
Whilst the timing is such to be able to attend the Fringe Festival - I'll be supplying tickets to a couple of comedy shows BUT if you don't want to go to the shows, you can amuse yourself doing something else- no problem!
This will be a 4 night, 5 day excursion with most meals, all accommodation and transport within South Australia included.
Minimum numbers will apply for this tour to run but our maximum will be 6 people.
Price: $1300.00 twin share or $1600.00 non-share - click here to book.
Secure your spot with a deposit of $150.00 - completely refundable if we don't get the numbers.
