Kyneton from a local perspective
Kyneton is a beautiful town nestled into the Macedon Ranges and where I now call home. I love her beauty and have the enthusiasm of a school kid when it comes to introducing guests to her wonders. If you have you got an couple of hours to spare, I can show you the highlights of Kyneton on a pushbike, enjoying a picnic lunch on the way...
Biking is a perfect way to get around Kyneton as there are great bike paths and it is relatively flat making it a perfect ride for both novices and those who enjoy riding in a frock! And a great way to spend a day with friends - old and new!
I can supply bikes or you can bring your own. Our meeting place is the Kyneton Railway Station - an ideal spot for those who need to park their car and also those catching the train from Southern Cross (one hour away - each train has at least one bike carriage).
My tour begins around 11am with a leisurely ride through our historic Botanic Gardens (beautiful at any time of the year but I suggest a scarf and gloves through the Autumn and Winter period). We'll enjoy a picnic lunch and other treats on our journey including a special wine or gin tasting along fabulous Piper Street. There will be laughter and fun times and you could be back in Melbourne with fabulous memories by 4pm.
THE COST OF MY TOUR IS $150 AND INCLUDES BIKE TRANSPORT AROUND KYNETON, PICNIC LUNCH & GIN OR WINE TASTING. ($115 IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN BIKE) APPROXIMATELY 3.5 HOURS DURATION. (Basic riding ability is required - we'll ride a maximum distance of 5km. Ensure you BYO helmet if using your own bike).
