Sunday 10th March 2019 is the day to come to Kyneton.

We'll have a whole day together taking in the beauty and history of Kyneton and learn about old trades and their relevance in our world today at the Lost Trades Fair.  Also country hospitality at Taradale Festival.  No need to bring the car but do make sure you bring  water,  hat, sunscreen & comfy shoes.

Our day starts when I meet you at Kyneton Train Station at 10.30am (there is a train that leaves Southern Cross just after 9am). From there we'll check out the Botanic Gardens and some other gorgeous spots. 

Then it's off to the Lost Trades Fair at the Racecourse - lots of beards and sharp things, you'll be fascinated by the artisans that not only create beautiful things, but are willing to share their passion and knowledge to a loving audience - it's an excellent day out with food and music to boot! There are over 100 specialists in their field showing us how its done. And you can also find some beautiful goods to buy...

Gin: devil's juice or nectar of the gods? You can make the decision...

Animus is a new and fabulous gin distillery in K-Town creating medal winning gins with local botanicals and they taste gorgeous.  We'll get the lowdown on the Animus spin on the juniper berry with a gin tasting.

Next stop not  15 minutes away is Taradale - a great little town that is blink and you miss it but it has the fantastic Taradale Wine & Produce.  And on that weekend, it's the Taradale Festival with lots of music and fun times. We'll roam around enjoying the country hospitality and enjoy a wine and woodfired pizza from the lovely Margie & Mick.

Then I'm afraid it's time to go home.  So this is one for those who have heard the wonders of the Macedon Ranges Area, one hour away from Melbourne but are yet to sample the goodness. 

And I'll get you back to meet the train going to Melbourne around 7pm.  Or if you'd like to stay the night  I can organise accommodation on your behalf for an extra cost.
